Earlier this year, I recorded this life changing advice from my Uber driver. Buckle up and enjoy his zeal for life and this powerful tiny moment and big idea.
Aaron:
Welcome to another episode of work life play today. I have a tiny moment with a big idea. Earlier this year, I hopped into a Uber on a Monday morning in San Francisco and my Uber driver in his little Prius. You could just tell our, I could tell he was a infectious happy fella. So we quickly got to talking about bike racing and about life and he had this great, just great advice about being grateful for the life that we have and celebrating tiny moments. So today my gift to you, it's just a quick reminder of all of that is wrong in the world or not yet. There are a few things. There are many things. If we keep our eyes open and look for them that are delightful and surprisingly gracious and fun, enjoy this gift today. Be well. Keep going, my friends
Uber Driver:
To tell you something about bike bike is like life it's little dog. Take your time. Take a break because you're going to finish no matter what it just matter of time you winner, you know, you're going to get out there. He'll take a big wait, two minutes to sit there and have a cough. Life is the same. Always we're going to make a solution for problem. If there is no solution, the problem is over. It's easy.
Aaron:
Link that to cycling
Uber Driver:
Cycling because it's low a slow pace. You you're going to get there, but is low. So don't take too much too fast because life is passing by. So enjoy little things, little moments that you live your life. More like we ride bikes because of bike you slow. You can see things with sometimes- We are so fast in life. You don't see not, you don't enjoy things. So bike. It's about life! I start four in the morning. And I'm enjoying! I mean? You look at the sun. Look, I'm happy. Looky how nice she is- Look at how beautiful there we have to say, thank you. Thank you. We are, we have a privilege. You know in our life, so many people need to walk two miles to have a shower. 1.6 billion people. Doesn't have a shower. They need to walk two miles. Can you imagine you have to walk two miles to have a shower and you have a shower you don't even pay attention. So next shower enjoy. Yes. Sing wooohooo in the shower. It's so important to you by yourself, naked by yourself, you, you, so you throw a party in the shower because we need you to enjoy the little things makes you so thankful because I'm 60. I learned, yes. I learned, I have a young girl going to the law school in Brazil in just 17. And I enjoyed life. She because the end can be tomorrow. That's true. Can being two hours and can be tomorrow.
Uber Driver:
Two hours over. Oh, your problem-its going to be good. You gonna die. Why are you going to worry about problem? What are you going to worry about? Brother-in-law problems. I think you will. Do you want to bet bigger than this one? That's the bigger problem than you might be dead. What a great way to start a Monday morning.
