The “Our World” design has been Ryan’s favorite piece of art since he created it for 08 Left. But, he always wanted it to be a little more meaningful. So, this year he added his hometown tower (GEG) featured it in blue and now it sits in Ryan’s dining room where he and his family are always reminded of the places they can go, and have already gone, in this world.
Yes, it’s a conversation starter.
And Ryan will be the only one to own it. Which, to be honest, is a pretty cool feeling. : )

HE LOVED LOTS OF THINGS BUT ESPECIALLY MANGOS AND AIRPLANES: TWO THINGS THAT HAITI HAD PLENTY OF. WHEN HE WAS IN 5TH GRADE HE SAT IN THE CAPTAIN’S CHAIR OF AN AIR HAITI DC-3 WITH A PLANE FULL OF PASSENGERS AND BANKED THE PLANE AROUND A CLOUD. BY HIMSELF. THIS WAS HIGHLY ILLEGAL.
BUT IT WAS INTOXICATING. RYAN GOT OLDER AND GREW TO LOVE OTHER THINGS, LIKE HEIDI. HE MARRIED HEIDI AND TOGETHER THEY LOVED TO ENTERTAIN PEOPLE AND SEND OUT INVITATIONS. THEY STARTED TO DESIGN THOSE INVITATIONS THEMSELVES AND STARTED MANGO INK IN 2007 TO CREATE INVITATIONS OF ALL KINDS FOR LOTS OF PEOPLE.
RYAN AND HEIDI LOVE TO TRAVEL. THEY LOVE TO EXPERIENCE NEW THINGS WITH THEIR KIDS.
THEY LOVE THE INCREDIBLE, ALMOST MAGICAL, SYSTEM THAT ALLOWS US ALL TO DO THAT AND THEY LOVE DESIGN. IN 2014 THEY MERGED ALL THEIR LOVES INTO ONE. AIRPORTS ARE THE GATEWAY TO SO MUCH.
THERE SHOULD BE ARTWORK THAT CELEBRATES THAT IN A BEAUTIFUL, SOPHISTICATED, SIMPLE WAY.
WE ARE 08 LEFT. WE LOVE ART AND FLIGHT AND TRAVEL AND NEW PLACES. WE CREATE ART FOR PEOPLE WHO LOVE THOSE THINGS AS WELL. WE DO IT SO WE CAN REFLECT, BE GRATEFUL AND BE INSPIRED. WE REALIZE WHO WE ARE, WHERE WE’VE BEEN, AND WHAT WE DREAM.
